The earthquakes of September 8 and 19 highlighted the solidarity of the Mexican people. From the first moment, help was immediate, people demonstrated their bravery, strength, determination, creativity, empathy, but above all their big heart in the face of such adversity. Each one collaborated in a different way, according to what they knew how to do best, and of course, the companies could not be absent. Citizen support, both physical, economic and in kind, was strengthened with the participation of companies, and in the same way, each one did it in its own way. Not because it was part of the entertainment industry did Cinépolis stay behind or limit itself to donating. From its trenches, the company made equipment, facilities, workforce, emergency funds and CSR programs available to citizens to contribute to the relief and reconstruction efforts after the earthquakes. Citizens' help tripled. For every peso that customers donate at Cinépolis ticket offices and candy stores nationwide, it adds up to $3 pesos. The program plans to also reach Chiapas, Puebla, Morelos, the State of Mexico and Mexico City. 4.- Cinépolis, in collaboration with Aurrerá, Domino's Pizza, the Federal Government, DIF System, the National Institute of Perinatology and other health entities, co-created the #REDDEREDES initiative to share official and confirmed information in the largest communities of social networks. 5.- Ruta Cinépolis provided light and energy in shelters and collection centers. Since the earthquake of September 19, every night, the Ruta Cinépolis team has its light plants in the collection centers and most affected areas of CDMX to generate energy and illuminate with their reflectors. 6.- During the mornings, the movie theaters are used and enabled as training and education centers for teachers, volunteers and students to promote the prompt reactivation of the affected communities/schools. 7.- Cinépolis joined the Fuerza México Trust for the reconstruction of houses and schools in the affected areas. The General Director, Alejandro Ramírez Magaña, participates in the Technical Committee of said trust that guarantees the transparent and efficient use of resources.
